Tom van Dijk

Tom van Dijk is specialised in providing advice and conducting proceedings in the field of civil real estate law. His emphasis lies on area development, building projects and buying and renting real estate.

 

Tom is an expert in the area of landlord-tenant law (VHA programme 2007) and regularly lectures in this field. He developed the optional subject ‘Buying’ for the Netherlands Bar Association. He is the author of the book ‘Electronic Tendering’ [original title: ‘Elektronische aanbesteding’].

 

His clients include governments, healthcare organisations, private real estate investors, real estate agents and private individuals. Tom has been practising law since 2001 and worked at the Dutch State Advocate’s office for over 11 years. He is highly motivated and results-orientated, with a strong focus on quality and problem-solving.

 

Register of legal practice areas

Tom van Dijk has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

  • Procurement law
  • Tenancy law (Business space, Living area)
  • Contract law

 

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
