Irene Hofhuis is a specialist in real estate law, with a particular focus on commercial and residential tenancy law. She represents, among others, real estate investors, project developers, retailers, hospitality entrepreneurs, and other users of real estate.
Irene advises and litigates on all aspects of tenancy law, including defects in leased properties, rent review proceedings, demolition and renovation, the restructuring of shopping centres, termination of leases, and the drafting of new lease agreements. In addition, she has extensive experience in other areas of real estate law, such as the purchase and sale of real estate, non-conformity issues, construction law, apartment rights, limited real rights, and neighbour law.
Alongside her legal practice, Irene is a regular contributor to legal publications. She is a permanent staff member of the Tijdschrift voor Huurrecht Bedrijfsruimte (Journal for Commercial Tenancy Law) and an author for the Groene Serie Huurrecht (Green Series Tenancy Law).
